Kettner’s Townhouse Champagne Bar serves a large selection of champagne and cocktails, with curtains that can be drawn to turn it into a late night lounge. The bar features an original mosaic tiled floor and early-deco 1920s design. French glass lights, a walnut bar with a marble top, sofas, armchairs, and original art decorate the space. Cocktails are delightful bubbly numbers, like the Champagne Martini. And if the thought of prices puts you off, visit during what must be Soho’s swankiest happy hour.
Blue Frog Lounge, Mumbai
Other amazing bar lounge ideas come from Anglo-Indian architects Serie completed the Blue Frog acoustic lounge and studios in Mumbai, India. The lounge is used as a music venue within a complex of sound recording studios in a converted warehouse and incorporates a restaurant, bar and live music stage.
The different sized cylindrical booths seat between 4 and 10 people and are arranged at various heights to stagger the eye levels of seated diners and standing customers, intended to afford uninterrupted views of the stage. The interior design was thought to be sound friendly with a undulating booth structure made from block board finished with mahogany and topped with back-lit 8mm acrylic sheets.

Yucca Lounge in Shanghai is a cocktail lounge with modern Mexican feel. Inspired by Mexican art with touches of Salvador Dali, Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, the Yucca Lounge is a surrealist bar room with daring colours and design in trendy Shanghai, designed by Dariel Studio.

With its numbered tables and air of seduction, Bar Pleiades is a cocktail lounge and hotel bar evocative of a discreet rendezvous. The hotel bar and cocktail lounge décor – inspired by both fashion icon Coco Chanel and the elegant lines of a 1930s Art Deco bar cart – features black and white lacquer finishes, French doors and quilted walls, inviting seclusion in intimate niches.
