Bicycle Bar, Bucharest, Romania
Located in a central, historical area, the bar is a friendly place that aims to shelter lots of exhibitions, musical sessions, workshops or any other event contemporary artists from different fields want to organize. Bicycle Bar in Bucharest, Romania gladly accepts donations of used bicycles and related items to complete its bar interior design. The designers idea was to recycle parts of bicycles, making pieces of furniture from vintage items.
They took rusty, sun-baked hunks of metal and polished till shine showed, disassembled and reassembled them so that the bicycles are comfortable, enjoyable and good ‘running’ units, making a unique bar area design.
Ammo restaurant, Hong Kong
Designed by Joyce Wang, the source of inspiration for AMMO was derived from a science fiction film noir masterpiece directed by Jean-Luc Godard known as ‘Alphaville’. This particular 1960’s influence is one of the jewel attributes as to why this space has such importance and unique modern interior design. Conceived from such great influences and then incorporated with great tribute, this leads to a production level that is truly admired and an unequal restaurant concept.
Electric Bar, Paris, France
Lighting projectors and cables hang from the spindly branches of chunky black trees inside this penthouse bar and nightclub in Paris by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur. Mathieu Lehanneur collaborated with architect Ana Moussinet to design the contemporary interior design and added split levels to define different zones. Faceted windows and diagonal panels give texture to the walls in one of the spaces. Others can be used as screens for lighting and video projections, transforming the electric bar in the perfect bar interior design.
Aqua Shard, London
Inspired by gin and tea – both of which have a history in the local area of Southwark – it has dark green and brown leather, black marble herringbone and a dark oak floor, making it a unique restaurant and bar design ideas. Cafe Ki, Tokyo
Table legs extend up to look like tree trunks and branches at this cafe in Tokyo, by Japanese studio id. The bar interior design essence is made of monochrome space features black steel poles that resemble the shapes of bare trees.
